The painting represents an abandoned dairy factory like many are in NZ. After the Second World War lots of small dairy factories were built everywhere in the country as they were selling everything to UK, until UK became part of EU... then NZ has to find another market for the dairy products which is now mainly Asia and above all milk powder and not butter and milk. Small farms and small dairy were replaced by big farms and big factories...,"Moving On..."
Franklin Arts Festival is an annual celebration of visual arts held in Pukekohe, showcasing the work of the best artists from all over New Zealand.
